Ba Na Hills is Da Nang's most famous mountain resort, about 25km from the city center. Its best-known highlight is the Golden Bridge — a pedestrian bridge held up by two giant stone hands, overlooking the Da Nang valley from more than 1,400m above sea level. Besides the Golden Bridge, the resort also has the French Village modeled on 19th-century European architecture, the indoor Fantasy Park, Le Jardin D'Amour flower garden, and Linh Ung Pagoda at the summit.
Temperatures at Ba Na are usually 5–10°C cooler than downtown, making it a popular summer escape from the heat. Visitors reach the resort by cable car — one of its lines once held the world record for the longest single-span cable car without a support tower.
